What is a Network Switch and how does it work?

-if i have 2Mbps speed and i have connected 8 computers with switch than how much speed do all the computer will get same time if all computer are running at same time, do all computer will get 2Mbps speed or less than that?

thank youIt totally depends what the other computers / devices are doing so say if computer 1 was download a .exe file that would slow down the reset of the computers on the network, Again it all depends on how fast is downloading so that why a feature of QoS (Quality of service) is better in place to balance the bandwidth but you only get that some routers and switches.
