Will my toshiba L650 converts digital to analog signal by itself?

i got a toshiba L650 with hdmi port.And,i got a normal tv with audio video slots.

I wanna see movie on my tv which is played from my laptop.

So,i would need an HDMI audio video cable which is available in market.

But,the cable alone wont convert digital to analog.Is my computer able to covert on its own?I couldnt find this data from manual.

The device to convert digital to analog is expensive.
