Why can't i connect to the Internet?

-I had recently format my windows xp and install a new windows xp on it and now it won't connect to the Internet. I'm using an Ethernet.That's anyone's guess, but xp may have trouble retrieving a computer address? anyway xp is an OLD operating system which will shortly be dumped for support by microsoft.



I had trouble with xp myself and dumped it on my old computer for a reliable, free and fast Linux os. Now it works just fine and if something does go wrong I just reinstall, don't have to deal with all this bs that microsoft puts you through, no activations, no product keys, no questions asked. True freedom, the way it was meant to be.
restart ur Router for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
