Can you make both a wireless and wired connection from a router?

-I'm finally getting wireless broadband next week.

However, my parents' desktop computer will require a wired connection but my Laptop/Phone/Wii requires wireless.

I know the router provided by the company can provide both Wired and Wireless connections but is it possible to do both at the same time?absolutely, as long as the router is capable of providing both, then both can be supplied at the same time. Strongly suggest making sure the wireless side is password protected, so devices close by can't jump on to your internet and surf, or worse yet, get access to your other computers.it depends on the router but most likely yes you can use both...
Absolutely. Unless it's from the 90s, the wired ports will always work in addition to the wireless set-up.
As long as it's a router, yes. If the company supplies just a modem, then not likely...
