Can I run WAMP at work locally?

-I need to set up a testing server using WAMP at my work. At work they have a network, windows 2000 server used as file sharing only. I want people to be able to access the root folder of my WAMP without the outside world being able to access or do damage. I have a machine set aside to hold WAMP, it will be ready when I find out what sort of security issues I am facing. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.Should work just fine. If you want to make it really easy then setup a "local domain" in the Win2K server. If you are using that as a controller then enter a DNS for your local web server. Otherwise people will have to use the local IP to reach the WAMP server. Everything will be http:// using a browser so the "root" will be the www or http folder. From a security standpoint, unless you forward port 80 at the local router (which there is no reason to do), no one outside will be able to even know there is a server! Internally the port is open for local users.
